Corporations use and are highly dependent on Project Management. For many corporations, especially those that develop, market, and support external products with a defined customer bases, the entire success or failure of their enterprise may be highly dependent on the consistent, successful execution of projects.

Not all projects are the same. So, to develop a set of rules (methods) for project management, we must realize that these rules must be adaptable for all types of projects and for all types of system developers and product groups. Additionally, different system development techniques will sometimes require different sets of rules for managing the resulting development activities. For example, a standalone- PC client application product requires less detailed management control than a workstation product integrating other applications and running in a large distributed networked environment. It is important to note that the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Product Life Cycle (PLC) drive repositories of reusable methods that can be selected and integrated to meet the demands of projects varying in size and complexity. Please reference the Heinsights Context for Project Management to see our perspective on the integration of the product, project management and systems development life cycles.

Knowing the pitfalls and having the experience to overcome them, Heinsights offers project management services to companies that are starting new project offices (and need project management practices) or want to assess projects that are experiencing difficulties – we make recommendations for improvement and help implement these recommendations by direct involvement with your project team.

We will provide you a report of our findings, including recommendations moving forward. If desired, we will assist you as mentors in your project turnaround.

Project Management Best Practices Service– we help you assess current project planning, execution & control, and project closure processes and tools. We will make recommendations for improvement, implement the processes and tools, or assist as mentors as you implement them.
